Video Watch the Cast of Broadway's The Collaboration Meet the Press

Jeremy Pope and Paul Bettany, who starred in the London production, are joined on Broadway by Krysta Rodriguez and Erik Jensen.

Following a hit London run at the Young Vic, Anthony McCarten's The Collaboration began previews November 29 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Opening night on Broadway is December 20.

The cast and creatives of the Broadway transfer share what to expect from the play and what they have learned about the artists at the center of it. Watch the discussion in the video above.

The company includes Jeremy Pope (Choir Boy, Ain't Too Proud) and Paul Bettany (WandaVision, A Very British Scandal), who starred in the London production, joined by Krysta Rodriguez (Into the Woods, Spring Awakening) and Erik Jensen (The Exonerated, Coal Country).

Written by four-time Oscar nominee McCarten (The Two Popes, Bohemian Rhapsody), The Collaboration is directed by Kwame Kwei-Armah (The Visitor, Tree), who also directed the London premiere. Also re-creating their work from London are scenic and costume designer Anna Fleischle, sound designer Emma Laxton, and projection designer Duncan McLean. Joining the team for the Broadway run are lighting designer Ben Stanton and Ayanna Witter-Johnson, who provide original music.

Set in 1984, the Bohemian Rhapsody and The Two Popes writer's work centers on superstar artist Andy Warhol (Bettany) and then-newcomer Jean-Michel Basquiat (Pope) as they begin an unlikely collaboration on a modern art exhibition in New York.
