Ahead of her April 5 exit from NBC’s the The Today Show, Kathie Lee Gifford presented her final “Everyone Has a Story” segment.

Gifford has been musicalizing the stories of ordinary people for years, and on April 4, Tony and Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth was the vocalist to bring the 100th segment to viewers nationwide.

Co-written by Gifford and David Friedman (who previously collaborated on Broadway's Scandalous), the song is called “Give It Away” and honors waitress Mary O’Connor for donating her kidney to a stranger.

Prior to penning Scandalous, Gifford made her Broadway debut in 1999 in the Stephen Sondheim revue Putting It Together. She also wrote and stars in the upcoming feature film Love Me to Death, for which she wrote songs with composer Brett James.
