Cynthia Erivo dropped by The Kelly Clarkson Show September 23 and lent her vocal abilities to an edition of "Kellyoke," dueting with American Idol winner Clarkson on the Disney standard "When You Wish Upon a Star." Watch the performance above.
Erivo sings the song starring as the Blue Fairy in Disney's live-action film of Pinocchio, now streaming on Disney+. She'll be back on the screen holiday 2023 as Elphaba in the upcoming two-part film adaptation of Broadway's Wicked.
The British stage and screen star won a 2016 Tony Award for her performance as Celie in John Doyle's revival of The Color Purple, a role she created in Doyle's production at London's Menier Chocolate Factory in 2013. She has since rocketed to screen stardom, starring in Widows and Bad Times at the El Royale before earning an Academy Award nomination for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman in 2019's Harriet. Erivo released a studio album Ch. 1 Vs. 1 in 2021.
