Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr., recently seen as Billy Flynn in the London company of Chicago, reprises the role on Broadway beginning October 6.
In the video above the actor discusses the difference between working in a musical versus a play, his upcoming projects, as well as his take on smooth-talking lawyer Flynn. Says the Oscar winner, “This Billy Flynn is a little more pimp than the other ones have been.”
The actor will stay with the Tony-winning revival through November 18 at the Ambassador Theatre.
Gooding Jr., who won the Academy Award for his work in Jerry Maguire, made his Broadway debut in 2013 in The Trip to Bountiful.
