Carrie Cracknell's new production of Frank Galati's Tony-winning adaptation of John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath will play London's National Theatre July 17-September 14.
Tony winner Cherry Jones will star as Ma Joad, the matriarch of the Joad family, forced on an epic journey across America in the hope of finding work and a new life in California. Watch the official trailer for the upcoming production in the video above.
Joining Jones on the stage of the Lyttleton will be Zoë Aldrich, Afolabi Alli, Rhys Bailey, Rachel Barnes, Brandon Bassir, Lin Blakley, Morgan Burgess, Tom Bulpett, Ryan Ellsworth, Amelia Gabriel, Christopher Godwin, Valentine Hanson, Greg Hicks, Harley Johnston, Natey Jones, William Lawlor, Mirren Mack, Maimuna Memon, Matthew Romain, Anish Roy, Michael Shaeffer, Robyn Sinclair, Tucker St Ivany, Emma Tracey, Harry Treadaway and Cath Whitefield.
The National staging will also feature scenic design by Alex Eales, costume design by Evie Gurney, lighting design by Guy Hoare, music by Stuart Earl, and casting by Alastair Coomer and Naomi Downham.
