Watch Cats Movie's Steven McRae in Royal Ballet's Mayerling
McRae and fellow Principal Dancer Sarah Lamb are featured in the filmed presentation, presented through the Royal Opera House's Cinema Series.
The Royal Ballet’s Mayerling screens in major movie theatres across the United States November 13. Before catching it on the big screen, watch clips from the captured performance, featuring Principal Dancers Steven McRae and Sarah Lamb.
McRae is set to appear in the upcoming film adaptation of Cats, playing Skimbleshanks.

The screening of the Kenneth MacMillan-choreographed piece is the latest in the Royal Opera House’s Cinema Series, which offers filmed presentations of opera and ballet performances from London’s Covent Garden.
The 1978 ballet, based on the true story of Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria (McRae) and his ill-fated affair with the Baroness Mary Vetsera (Lamb). The company also includes Laura Morera, Nehemiah Kish, Kristen McNally, Gary Avis, Meaghan Grace Hinkis, Mayara Magri, and James Hay.
