Vicki Lewis, whose Broadway credits include Anastasia, Chicago, and Damn Yankees, will play late opera diva Maria Callas in Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts' summer production of Terrence McNally's Tony-winning Master Class.

Directed by Lisa Peterson, previews will begin June 25 prior to an official opening June 29 for a limited engagement through July 20 at the Sag Harbor, New York, venue.

Callas' famed mentoring sessions at Juilliard are immortalized in the late McNally's Master Class, which opened on Broadway in 1995 and won Tony Awards for Best Play, Best Actress in a Play for Zoe Caldwell, and Best Featured Actress in a Play for Audra McDonald. Caldwell, who played Callas, was succeeded by Tony winner Patti LuPone and Designing Women's Dixie Carter. The production will also have music direction by Brett Ryback, scenic design by Rachel Hauck, costume design by Laura Bauer, lighting design by Jen Schriever, sound design by Sun Hee Kil, production design by Yee Eun Nam, and production stage management by Melissa Sparks.
