News Tony-Winning A View From the Bridge Finds L.A. Cast The Young Vic production, which played an acclaimed Broadway run, will arrive at the Ahmanson Theatre in September.

The Center Theatre Group has announced casting for the L.A. run of the Young Vic production of A View from the Bridge. The Broadway staging was nominated for five 2016 Tony Awards, and took home the prizes for Best Revival and Best Direction of a Play, going to Ivo van Hove.

The Center Theatre Group production will begin previews September 7 at the Ahmanson Theatre with an official opening set for September 14.

A new cast has been assembled for the Los Angeles run of the intense ensemble drama. The cast includes Danny Binstock, Catherine Combs, Alex Esola, Andrus Nichols, Howard W. Overshown, Dave Register, Thomas Jay Ryan and Frederick Weller.

Arthur Miller’s A View From the Bridge tells the story of Brooklyn laborer and family man Eddie Carbone, whose possessive love of his niece prompts the destruction of his world and ideals. The Young Vic production of Miller’s classic was first presented at the London theatre in 2014, then transferred to the West End in 2015 and was awarded three Olivier Awards (Best Actor, Best Revival and Best Director).

The scenic and lighting design is by Jan Versweyveld, costumes are by An D’Huys and sound is by Tom Gibbons. The production stage manager is David S. Franklin.

Following the run at the Ahmanson Theatre, CTG will tour this production to the Kennedy Center for an engagement in the Eisenhower Theater which will play from November 18 through December 3. For more information visit centertheatregroup.org.
