The two-hour concert, which celebrates the end of the 2014-15 season, will feature performances from 20-plus shows that opened in the current Broadway season as well as songs from long-running shows, accompanied by a 12-piece orchestra.
The event will run 10:30 AM-12:30 PM in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets. Tony winner Iglehart is tapped to report from the concert via social media on the day and can be followed on Twitter via @jamesmiglehart and on instagram via @jmiglehart.
The participating musicals will include Aladdin, An American in Paris, Beautiful - The Carol King Musical, Chicago, Finding Neverland, Fun Home, Gigi, It Shoulda Been You, Kinky Boots, Les Miserables, The Lion King, Matilda the Musical, Mamma Mia!, On the Town, On the Twentieth Century, The Phantom of the Opera, Someting Rotten! The Visit and Wicked.
Additional appearances from the following Broadway plays will also be featured: Airline Highway, The Audience, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, A Gentlemen's Guide to Love & Murder, Hand to God, It's Only a Play and Wolf Hall Parts One & Two. The event will be held rain or shine.
