News Tony Bennett Will Spotlight Songs of Jerome Kern on New Recording; Track List Revealed! Tony Bennett, the veteran Grammy-winning singer who recently scored a number one album of duets with Lady Gaga — "Cheek to Cheek" — will focus on the songs of Jerome Kern for his next recording.

Entitled "The Silver Lining: The Songs of Jerome Kern," the new CD, according to the New York Times, will be released Sept. 25 by RPM/Columbia. It's available for pre-order now.

The new disc will also feature the work of famed jazz pianist Bill Charlap; in fact, half of the tracks will feature Bennett accompanied by Charlap's trio.

Fourteen ­ songs by Broadway and film composer Kern (1885-1945) will be featured, including "The Way You Look Tonight." Many of them have lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II.

Kern's best-known Broadway work is Show Boat, which revolutionized the musical theatre.
