The Time Traveller’s Wife: The Musical, which began previews October 7 at London's Apollo Theatre, officially opens November 1.

David Hunter and Joanna Woodward reprise the roles of Henry and Clare, respectively, that they played at Chester's Storyhouse in 2022, joined by Tim Mahendran as Gomez, Hiba Elchikhe as Charisse, and Ross Dawes as Henry’s Dad; all three were also seen in these roles in Chester.

They are joined by Sorelle Marsh (Mamma Mia!) as Henry’s Mum, Alwyne Taylor (Claus) as the Librarian, Irfan Damani (The SpongeBob Musical U.K. tour) as Clare’s Dad, Alexandra Doar (Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat U.K. tour) as Clare’s Mum, Alex Lodge (The Osmonds U.K. and Ireland tour) as Jason/Mark, and Helena Pipe (Blues for an Alabama Sky) as Dr. Kendrick.

Also in the cast are Billie Hardy, Daniel George-Wright, Serina Mathew, Nathaniel Purnell, and Bobby Windebank. The role of Young Clare/Alba is shared by Ava Critchell, Lily Hanna, Poppy Pawson, and Holly-Jade Roberts.

Based on the novel by Audrey Niffenegger and the New Line Cinema film screenplay by Bruce Joel Rubin, The Time Traveller's Wife: The Musical has a book by Lauren Gunderson, original music and lyrics by Joss Stone and Dave Stewart, additional music by Nick Finlow, and additional lyrics by Kait Kerrigan.

The work centers on a love story between Henry and Clare, one experienced out of order thanks to Henry's rare condition, which sees him pulled into the past or the future with no warning when his genetic clock periodically resets.

The production, again directed by Bill Buckhurst, also has designs by Anna Fleischle, choreography by Shelley Maxwell, lighting design by Lucy Carter and Rory Beaton, illusions by Chris Fisher, video design by Andrzej Goulding, sound design by Richard Brooker, sound FX design by Pete Malkin, musical supervision and arrangement by Nick Finlow, orchestrations by Malcolm Edmonstone, wigs, hair, and makeup design by Susanna Peretz, and casting by Grindrod Burton Casting.

The musical is produced by Colin Ingram, InTheatre Productions, Gavin Kalin Productions, Teresa Tsai, Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, and Crossroads Live.

Sony Masterworks Broadway released the original cast recording of The Time Traveller’s Wife September 29.
