Between holiday film and award contenders, the final months of the year always have great film and television content on offer. This season is no different. Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman star in a western miniseries set in the Australian outback. Adrienne Warren leads a family drama-murder mystery. And Hannah Waddingham has her own Christmas musical extravaganza special.

West End Cabaret Olivier winner Jessie Buckley stars alongside Riz Ahmed and The Bear's Jeremy Allen White in the sci-fi romance Fingernails. Despite testing positive for true love with her partner (through a controversial new technology), Anna has doubts about their relationship. She takes a job at the love testing institute where she meets another potential love interest. Luke Wilson also stars. Stream it from November 3.
British stage and screen star Hannah Waddingham will ring in the holiday season with a musical special. Filmed live at the London Coliseum, Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas will premiere on the streamer November 22. The Ted Lasso Emmy winner will be joined by special guests performing festive classics accompanied by a big band.

HBO Documentary Films presents David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived about the gymnast who worked as Daniel Radcliffe's stunt double on the Harry Potter films until an on-set accident left him paralyzed. Featuring interviews with Holmes, Radcliffe, friends, family, and colleagues, the documentary reflects on living with adversity and forging a new identity. Radcliffe also executive produces. The film premieres November 15.

Tony winner Adrienne Warren and British actor and rapper Ashley Thomas star as siblings whose mother reveals her secret life after her death in the family drama-murder mystery Black Cake. Based on the best-selling novel by Charmaine Wilkerson, the eight-part series follows a runaway bride who disappears in 1960s Jamaica after her husband is murdered. The first three episodes are available November 1, followed by weekly releases.
Tony winner Hugh Jackman and Oscar winner Nicole Kidman team up with filmmaker Baz Luhrmann in their native Australia for the sweeping adventure miniseries Faraway Downs. Kidman plays an English aristocrat who travels to the Outback to take over the ranch her late husband left behind. With the help of Jackman's cattle drover, she must fight to protect the ranch and the bi-racial Indigenous child she cares for there. The series is an expanded version of Luhrmann's 2008 film Australia, with the filmmaker incorporating additional footage he shot to turn that epic film into an (ostensibly) even more epic miniseries. Faraway Downs premieres November 26.

Imelda Staunton returns as Queen Elizabeth for the sixth and final season of The Crown about the current British monarchy. The season will cover the events from 1997 through 2005, with the four-episode Part 1 focusing on the relationship between Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed and the tragic car crash that ended their lives. The returning cast of the series also includes Olivier and Tony winner Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Dominic West as Prince Charles, and Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret. Also returning are Salim Daw as Mohamed Al Fayed and Khalid Abdalla as Dodi Fayed. Part 1 releases November 16, followed by Part 2 December 14.
Brandy Norwood (Cinderella, Chicago) and Heather Graham star as college frenemies unexpectedly reunited for the holidays in the comedy Best. Christmas. Ever! According to her yearly holiday newsletter, Jackie's life is perfect. When Charlotte, whose life is a little more chaotic, winds up on Jackie's doorstep just days before Christmas, she's determined to find the hidden imperfections in Jackie's story. Jason Biggs and Matt Cedeño also star. Stream it November 16.
Tony nominee and Emmy winner Colman Domingo (The Scottsboro Boys) leads the upcoming Netflix film Rustin as the title character Bayard Rustin, the gay civil rights activist who organized the 1963 March on Washington. The cast also includes Chris Rock, Glynn Turman, Aml Ameen, Michael Potts, and Tony winners Jeffrey Wright, Adrienne Warren, Bill Irwin, and Audra McDonald. Rustin is written and directed by five-time Tony winner George C. Wolfe. It is the first feature film to come from the partnership between Netflix and President Barack and Michele Obama's Higher Ground. Catch it November 17.
Adam Sandler continues his string of Netflix content with the animated musical Leo. It follows a 74-year-old lizard who dreams of a life more exciting than the classroom aquarium he lives in with his friend Squirtle, a turtle. Sandler and comedian Bill Burr voice the lizard and turtle leads, with additional characters voiced by Cecily Strong, Jason Alexander, Jo Koy, Heidi Gardner, Stephanie Hsu, and more. Stream it November 21.
