8 PM: Anjou: The Musical Horror Tale
A modern Mexican opera with music by Guillermo Mendez M. and lyrics by Mendez and Guadalupe Sandoval, in a new English translation by Javier Vilalta, will stream on Playbill to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The performance stars Jay Armstrong Johnson, Taylor Iman Jones, Jelani Remy, Javier Muñoz, Julia Murney, Shereen Pimentel, and more, and is produced and directed by Roberto Araujo.
The play by Amy Herzog officially opened April 23 on Broadway.
The new play, now on Broadway via Second Stage, stars Jessica Lange, Jim Parsons, and Celia Keenan-Bolger.
The Max Martin musical features a number of his most beloved songs, including “…Baby One More Time,” “Roar,” “Since U Been Gone,” “It’s My Life,” “I Want It That Way,” “Can’t Stop the Feeling!,” and more.
The mononymic star is currently promoting her newest film Challengers, where she stars opposite Tony nominee Mike Faist.

On April 28, Clark and the entire company of the Tony-winning musical will take their final bows at Broadway's Booth Theatre.
