London News The Bowie Show, Featuring David Bowie's Music, to Play West End

The jukebox musical will also embark on a U.K. tour.

Let's dance. The David Bowie tribute show The Bowie Show will play the West End's Lyric Theatre, one night only February 10, 2025. The performance will be part of the production's U.K. tour, which begins January 24 at London's Hippodrome Golders Green. Take a look at the show in the trailer above.

The show promises to be a "multi-visual voyage" into the mind of the late Bowie, and explore his different personas, like Ziggy Stardust—to a soundtrack of Bowie's hit songs performed by a live band. It is created and directed by Simon Gwilliam and produced by John Dalston and Gwilliam. Casting will be announced at a later date.

This isn't the first time Bowie's music has been used in a stage work. One of his final projects was the original musical Lazarus (named after Bowie's final album), which followed an alien trapped on Earth trying to get home. It featured Bowie's hit songs and some original compositions. It played at Off-Broadway's New York Theatre Workshop in 2015 and then the West End in 2016. Bowie's last public appearance was at the opening night of the Off-Broadway production.
