News Tanya Barfield's Bright Half Life, Directed by Leigh Silverman, Opens Off-Broadway Tonight The Women's Project Theatre world premiere of Bright Half Life, a play about two women in love by Pulitzer Prize nominee Tanya Barfield, officially opens Feb. 25 following previews that began Feb. 17. Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman (Violet) directs.

The romance stars Rebecca Henderson (Appropriate Behavior) and Rachael Holmes (Ruined) and continues through March 22 at New York City Center Stage II.

Barfield, whose play Blue Door was nominated for the 2007 Pulitzer Prize, has penned a new work that explores the relationship between two women in love. According to press notes, "Erica meets Vicky. Vicky marries Erica. Lives collide. Rewind. Pause. Fast forward. Bright Half Life is a kaleidoscopic new play about love, skydiving and the infinite moments that make a life together."

The creative team includes set designer Rachel Hauck (This Wide Night), costume designer Emily Rebholz (If/Then), lighting designer Jen Schriever (The Other Josh Cohen) and sound designer Bart Fasbender (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson).

The production marks the third collaboration between the playwright and director; Barfield and Silverman previously partnered on the critically acclaimed plays Blue Door and The Call, both staged at Playwrights Horizons
