The full album of the Avett Brothers musical, which played its final Broadway performance December 29, 2024, releases February 7.

Avett Brothers musical Swept Away has released a single from its forthcoming Broadway cast album. Listen to "No Hard Feelings" above and on all streaming platforms now.

The musical played its final performance at Broadway's Longacre Theatre December 29, 2024. The production began previews October 29 and officially opened November 19, with Michael Mayer at the helm. Read the reviews here.

Featuring songs by the folk-rock group and a book by John Logan, the cast was led by Tony winner John Gallagher Jr. (Spring Awakening) as Mate, Stark Sands (Kinky Boots) as Big Brother, Adrian Blake Enscoe (Dickinson) as Little Brother, and Wayne Duvall (1984) as Captain. All four starred in the musical's Broadway run after creating the roles in the work's earlier stagings at Berkeley Repertory and Arena Stage.

Swept Away follows four survivors of an 1888 shipwreck off the coast of New Bedford, Massachusetts. As they struggle to stay alive, they must question whether or not they can live with the consequences of their actions, and discover how tragedy can lead to forgiveness.

The creative team also included choreographer David Newmann, music arranger and orchestrator Chris Miller, music arranger and orchestrator/music supervisor Brian Usifer, music director Will Van Dyke, Tony-winning set designer Rachel Hauck, Tony-winning costume designer Susan Hilferty, four-time Tony-winning lighting designer Kevin Adams, Tony-winning sound designer John Shivers, and casting directors Jim Carnahan, Jillian Cimini, and Alexandre Bleau.

Swept Away was produced by Matthew Masten, Sean Hudock, and Madison Wells Live and executive-produced by Wagner Johnson Productions.
