International News 'Summer Nights': West End Return of Grease Revival Begins June 2

Nikolai Foster again directs Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey’s '50s musical.

The West End return of the recent revival of Grease, which played its final performance at the Dominion Theatre October 29, 2022, begins June 2, again at the Dominion.

Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey’s international hit will continue through October 28. Nikolai Foster again directs the limited engagement with choreography by Arlene Phillips.

The summer production features returning cast members Dan Partridge as Danny, Olivia Moore as Sandy, and Jocasta Almgill as Rizzo, joined by Louise Redknapp as the Teen Angel (June 2-July 29, excluding Mondays).

Australian stars Jason Donovan and Peter Andre also return to the acclaimed production. Donovan will play the role of the Teen Angel at certain performances August 14-October 28. Andre will play the roles of Vince Fontaine and Teen Angel at certain performances August 29-October 19. 

The company is completed by Soloman Davy as Kenickie, Callum Henderson as Roger, Katie Brace as Jan, Jake Reynolds as Doody, Ellie Kingdon as Marty, George Michaelides as Sonny, Olivia Foster-Browne as Frenchy, Jayd’n Tyrone as Eugene, Chloe Saunders as Patty Simcox, Katie Dunsden as Cha Cha, Liam McHugh as Johnny Casino, Darren Bennett as Vince Fontaine and Teen Angel at certain performances, and Rachel Stanley as Miss Lynch with Michael Anderson, Alicia Belgrade, Kirsty Ingram, Jordan Isaac, D’Mia Lindsay-Walker, Carly Miles, Luke Redmore, Samuel Routley, Darcey Simmons, Sario Solomon, Joshua Steel, and Allana Taylor.

The new production of the '50s musical features designs by Colin Richmond, orchestrations and musical supervision by Tony winner Sarah Travis (Sweeney Todd), lighting design by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Tom Marshall and Richard Brooker, video and projection design by Douglas O'Connell, and casting by David Grindrod.

This production is dedicated to the memory of Olivia Newton-John, who played Sandy in the blockbuster film version of Grease and passed away in August 2022.
