Tony winning musical Suffs will celebrate its recent Grammy nomination with a special event hosted by The Grammy Museum at NYC's The Greene Space next month.
A New York Evening with Suffs will feature music and conversation December 11, highlighting the evolution of the musical from first drafts of songs to the final versions that fans hear on Broadway each night. The event will be moderated by Grammy nominees Shaina Taub, the musical's Tony-winning author and star; and Suffs music supervisor and music director Andrea Grody, and will feature performances from members of the Suffs cast.

Suffs will play its final performance January 5, 2025. As of the final performance, the musical will have played 24 previews and 301 regular performances at the Music Box Theatre.
The musical, which opened April 18 following a 2022 world premiere run at Off-Broadway's Public Theater, is written by and stars Shaina Taub, who won two 2024 Tony Awards for the work's book and score. The show was nominated for six categories overall, including Best Musical. Hillary Clinton and Malala Yousafzai are also co-producers.

Set in the years leading up to the 19th amendment, Suffs explores the Women's Suffrage movement's victories and failures. Taub stars as Alice Paul, alongside Tony winner Nikki M. James (The Book of Mormon) as Ida B. Wells, Tony nominee Jenn Colella (Come From Away) as Carrie Chapman Catt, Grace McLean (Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812) as President Woodrow Wilson, Hannah Cruz as Inez Milholland, Kim Blanck as Ruza Wenclawska, Anastacia McCleskey (Waitress) as Mary Church Terrell, Ally Bonino as Lucy Burns, Tsilala Brock as Dudley Malone, Nadia Dandashi as Doris Stevens, and Tony nominee Emily Skinner (Side Show) as Alva Belmont/Phoebe Burn.
Director Leigh Silverman directed both the Off-Broadway world premiere and the Broadway bow, the latter of which features a largely new creative team.
