Samuel French has published and holds performance rights for Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, and American Comedy award recipient Steve Martin’s Meteor Shower, which opened on Broadway in November 2017.
Meteor Shower joins Martin's two earlier comedies, Picasso at the Lapin Agile and The Underpants, as part of Samuel French’s catalog of plays and musicals.
Meteor Shower premiered regionally in 2016 at The Old Globe in San Diego, California, followed by The Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut, before opening on Broadway in 2017. Directed by Jerry Zaks, the New York cast featured Amy Schumer, Laura Benanti, Keegan-Michael Key, and Jeremy Shamos. Schumer was Tony-nominated for her performance.
