You aren't seeing triple! Tatiana Pandiani, Jacinta Clusellas, and Melis Aker are in the Playbill Office, and they brought your new favorite musical to Playbill's Songwriter Series. Presented by Audible Theater, the series is dedicated to spotlighting emerging composers and features a new video every month.
The trio presented four compositions from their musical Azul, including "Epifanía," "Juventud Divino Tesoro," "Newcomers," and the title track, "Azul." Both "Juventud Divino Tesoro" and "Azul" feature arrangements by Clusellas, Alex Lacamoire, and Kurt Crowley.
Azul is a bilingual musical that explores artistry and the immigrant experience through two lovers and the obstacles they encounter in search of happiness.
Performers for the trio include Katerina McCrimmon, Robi Hager, and Florencia Cuenca. Accompanying them at various points are Ben Moss and Jaime Lozano on piano, and Clusellas on guitar. Alessio Romano and Brando Unpingco handled the audio recording and mixing for the presentation.
