I Do! was conceived as a valentine to the joys and frustrations and ultimate deep rewards of a long and lasting marriage, no matter their sexual orientation," lyricist Jones said in a press statement. "This being so, I am especially pleased that this celebration of the show's songs at 54 Below will be performed on Valentine's Day and by a cast of married couples, for the first time both gay and straight. A bit early perhaps, but I am already lifting my glass in a toast."
