Singer-actor Rita Wilson will perform songs from her recent self-titled album, plus an advance peek at new songs from a forthcoming album, October 10–21 at Café Carlyle in New York City.
Her upcoming album, containing original songs co-written with a host of award-winning and best-selling songwriters from both Los Angeles and Nashville, is scheduled for release in 2018. The earlier album includes the tracks “Girls Night In,” “Along for the Ride,” “Talking to Me,” “Strong Tonight,” “What You See Is What You Get,” and “Joni.”
Wilson has appeared on Broadway twice, co-starring with Larry David in Fish in the Dark (2015), and replacing in the role of Roxie Hart in the long-running revival of Chicago in 2006. She appeared previously at Café Carlyle in 2016.
Wilson’s acting career includes movies It’s Complicated and Sleepless in Seattle, and recurring roles on CBS’ The Good Wife and HBO’s Girls. She also co-produced the films My Big Fat Greek Wedding and the adaptation of the Broadway musical Mamma Mia!
Her Café Carlyle performances are scheduled for Tuesday through Friday at 8:45 PM, plus two shows on Saturday, at 8:45 and 10:45 PM. Ticketts cost $75 to $150 weekdays; $85 to $160 weekend.
