Directed by Michael Bush, the cast features Cole Burden, Danielle Chambers, Rose Hemingway, Lianne Marie Dobbs, Christine LaDuca, Karen Mason, Michael McCarty, Marcy McGuigan and Ken Prymus.
Musical director is James Sampliner.
Nightmare Alley, according to press notes, is the story of a "Depression-era con man Stan Carlisle (Cole Burden) who becomes the main attraction of a carnival side show after the mysterious death of a mind reader (Ken Prymus). Fueled by an inflated belief in his powers, he falls in love with the show’s sexiest starlet (Rose Hemingway), 'the electrocution girl,' and together they leave to seek fortune and fame after a Tarot card reading with Karen Mason as the mistress of ceremonies."
The musical is based on the 1946 William Lindsey Gresham novel that spawned the film noir classic starring Tyrone Power and Joan Blondell.
Nightmare Alley was previously presented at The Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles directed by the late Gil Cates, and was further developed last winter at The Johnny Mercer Writers Colony at Goodspeed with Bush at the helm.
