Industry workshops of Radio 930 at Catholic University of America's Rome School of Music, Drama & Art begins April 8 in Washington, D.C. The invite-only presentation is directed by David Ruttura and stars Tracy Lynn Olivera.

The show follows a group of rebels during 1981 in East Berlin who create an illegal radio station to play rock and roll music in hopes of inspiring social change from behind the Berlin Wall. It also introduces the East German-loyal Heidts family and their 11-year-old daughter and Stasi operative son. The son rebels against his regime after falling in love with the illegal music and the woman he’s spying on.

Olivera is joined by Evan Casey (Signature's Allegro) and a company of 18 performers, including students from Catholic and Howard University.

Radio 930 features music and lyrics by Gaby Alter (Nobody Loves You) and a book by Josh Billig (Dramaworld). Geoffrey Ko (Be More Chill) will music direct and Patrick O'Neill will choreograph, with LDK Productions' Lisa Dozier serving as general manager.
