The Roundabout Theatre Company revival of Samm-Art Williams' Home begins performances at Broadway's Todd Haimes Theatre May 17. Opening night is set for June 5 for a limited engagement through July 21, with Tony winner Kenny Leon at the helm. Get a first look at the production in rehearsals in the gallery below.
The coming-of-age story was originally staged by the Negro Ensemble Company in 1979 and transferred to Broadway the following year. The play follows Cephus Miles, a Black southern farmer who is jailed for his opposition to the Vietnam War. He then moves north, only to find even more difficulties away from his North Carolina home.

The cast features Tory Kittles (The Equalizer, True Detective) as Cephus Miles, Brittany Inge (Lethal Legacy, Boomerang) as Woman One/Pattie Mae Wells, and Stori Ayers (Blood at the Root) as Woman Two. All will be making their Roundabout debuts. Kimber Elayne Sprawl (Girl From the North Country) and RJ Foster (Fat Ham) serve as understudies.
The production features set design by Arnulfo Maldonado, costume design by Dede Ayite, lighting design by Allen Lee Hughes, and sound design by Justin Ellington.
