Three-time Tony winner Patti LuPone will join the cast of Sex and the City reboot And Just Like That... for its third season, Entertainment Weekly reports. While LuPone's role has not yet been revealed, executive producer Michael Patrick King said the actor will have "an arc on our show this season."
LuPone joins the cast alongside Kristen Schaal (Bob's Burgers, What We Do in the Shadows) and Rosemarie DeWitt, the latter of whom made a single appearance in season two.
Most recently seen on Broadway in The Roommate opposite Mia Farrow, theatre legend LuPone has appeared on television regularly in recent years. Her on-screen performances include roles in Marvel miniseries Agatha All Along; Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story, Pose, and Hollywood; and more.
LuPone received two Tony Awards for Best Lead Actress for her performances in Evita and Gypsy, and a third for Best Featured Actress for the 2021 Company revival. Her extensive list of Broadway credits also includes Anything Goes, Oliver!, Sweeney Todd, War Paint, and more.
An exact release date for And Just Like That... season three has not yet been announced, but it is projected to premiere on HBO and Max this year.
