The Transport Group revival of The Trial of the Catonsville Nine, Daniel Berrigan's play seen on Broadway in 1971, has found its cast.

The Off-Broadway production will feature Mia Katigbak (Awake and Sing!, I Remember Mama), Eunice Wong (Mourning Becomes Electra, Smart People), and David Huynh (Henry VI, A Midsummer Night’s Dream).

Transport Group Artistic Director Jack Cummings III directs the production, scheduled to begin January 16, 2019, at the Abrons Arts Center. Opening night is set for February 6.

Based on the court transcripts of the trial of Vietnam War peace activists, The Trial of the Catonsville Nine tells the story of the nine people who broke into a Maryland draft office in 1968 and burned 378 draft cards with homemade napalm. Brothers Philip Berrigan and Daniel Berrigan—both Catholic priests—led the movement.

The revival marks the first New York production in over 30 years and is produced by special arrangement with The Daniel Berrigan Literary Trust, Catalyst Literary Management, and Phil Sandhaus.

The show is the second production of Transport Group’s 2018-19 season produced in partnership with the National Asian American Theatre Company (NAATCO).

The set and costume design for The Trial of the Catonsville Nine is by Peiyi Wong; lighting design is by R. Lee Kennedy; and sound design is by Fan Zhang.
