Eligibility dates and a new judges panel for the 68th Annual Obie Awards have been revealed. The best of Off- and Off-Off-Broadway will be honored in a ceremony later this year, on a date to be announced.
To be eligible for those honors, shows will need to have opened between September 1, 2023, and August 23, 2024.
Both in-person and digital theatrical projects will be considered, with more than 300 productions expected to be eligible this time around.
The new judges panel comprises Aya Ogawa, David Greenspan, Diep Tran (Playbill editor-in-chief), Heather Alicia Simms, Modesto "Flako" Jimenez, Nikiya Mathis, Ryan J. Haddad, Taylor Reynolds, Wilson Chin, and Haruna Lee. Lee and Chin are the panel's co-chairs.
