The events will kick off May 19 with On Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon, a presentation on the lives and careers of director/choreographer/dancer Bob Fosse and dancer Gwen Verdon, who collaborated onstage and off and changed the face of dance on Broadway. Marc Courtade will explore their legacy.
May 27 will see multi-award winner Neil Patrick Harris, star of "How I Met Your Mother" and Hedwig and the Angry Inch, come to 92Y to discuss his career with Jonathan Tisch.
On June 4 Tony Vellela will host a discussion with five-time Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Susan Stroman, whose Broadway projects include Bullets Over Broadway, The Scottsboro Boys, Oklahoma! and The Producers, among numerous others.
On June 14 Faith Prince will perform the 15th annual Kathryn W. Stein memorial concert. Prince was awarded the Tony Award for her performance in Guys and Dolls and has starred in Annie, A Catered Affair, The Little Mermaid and Noises Off among many others.
The schedule will also feature On Bob Fosse's Muses, an examination of the famed artist's three wives: dance partner, mentor and muse; Love Song: A Concert Celebrating Louis Rosen's 30th Anniversary at 92nd Street Y; and Behind the Scenes of Off-Broadway's Churchill. Todd Gershwin, great-nephew of George and Ira Gershwin, will also discuss the enduring legacy of these famed songwriters. The presentation will include some of the Gershwins' most memorable songs and highlights from his personal letters.
