Winners of the 2025 Richard Rodgers Awards for Musical Theater have been revealed. All winning works will receive funds to go towards presentations at NYC non-profit theatres.
This year's winners include composer Jacinth Greywoode and book writer-lyricist AriDy Nox for their musical Black Girl in Paris; book writer, lyricist, and co-story writer Sophie Boyce and composer and co-story writer Veronica Mansour for The Dark Lady; and composer and co-lyricist Barrett Riggins and book writer and co-lyricist Graham Techler for Helsinki.
The honors will be presented at Arts and Letters' annual Ceremonial in May.
The award was established by late Broadway composer Richard Rodgers in 1978, with past winners including Jonathan Larson for Rent, Anaïs Mitchell for Hadestown, and Will Aronson and Hue Park for Maybe Happy Ending.
