A musical interpretation of H.G. Wells' The Invisible Man set as a teen comedy in the '80s will play at Feinstein’s/54 Below, Broadway’s Supper Club September 2, starring Krystina Alabado and Anthony Norman.
Directed by Marc Kudisch (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, 9 to 5), Invisible tells the story of sci-fi nerds Griff and Kemper, who try to try to win the affection of the popular girls. Weird science happens, however, when Griff turns invisible after an experiment goes awry.
Alabado currently stars as Gretchen Wieners in Mean Girls and has appeared on Broadway in American Psycho. Norman is in the ensemble of The Prom and was a part of the Newsies national tour.
Invisible has a book by David Hollingsworth with music and lyrics by David Orris. Joining Alabado and Norman on stage will be Dan Amerman, Chris Bona, Christie Brooke, Jordan Goodsell, Daniel Mills, Alyssa Rupert, Rehyan Rivera, Luke Matthew Simon, Katie McConaughy, and Dekontee Tucrkile.
