Louise Dearman (Wicked, Guys and Dolls) and Rachel Tucker (Sunset Boulevard, The Last Ship) will star as Daisy and Violet Hilton in a one-night-only concert production of the Tony-nominated musical Side Show March 3, 2024, at the London Palladium.
Directed by Emma Butler with musical direction by Adam Hoskins, the cast will also feature Bradley Jaden (Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends) as Terry and Tosh Wanogho-Maud (Ain't Too Proud) as Buddy. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
Side Show has a score by Tony nominee Henry Krieger and a book and lyrics by Tony nominee Russell. The original Broadway production of Side Show opened October 16, 1997, and was directed by Robert Longbottom. The production starred Alice Ripley, Emily Skinner, Ken Jennings, Norm Lewis, Jeff McCarthy, and Hugh Panaro. It ran for 91 performances and received four Tony nominations, including a shared nomination for co-stars Ripley and Skinner.
Erin Davie and Emily Padgett starred in the 2014 Broadway revival, which featured additional book material by Bill Condon.
Based on the true story of conjoined twins who rose to fame during the Depression, the score includes "Who Will Love Me As I Am," "The Devil You Know," and "I Will Never Leave You."
