Tony winner and Oscar nominee John Lithgow celebrates his birthday October 19. He is a two-time Tony Award winner for his performances in Sweet Smell of Success and The Changing Room. He is also a two-time Academy Award nominee for the films Terms of Endearment and The World According to Garp. He was last seen on Broadway in his solo show, John Lithgow: Stories by Heart.
Lithgow will return to Broadway this season in Hillary and Clinton alongside Laurie Metcalf, a new play by A Doll's House, Part 2 author Lucas Hnath. Joe Mantello will direct the production, which begins previews March 16, 2019, ahead of an April 18 opening at a theatre to be announced.
