The Pyramid: A Dance Moms Parody Musical features music and lyrics by James Stryska and Isabel Grace and a book by Erica Molfetto and Molly Russo.

A new track from the currently in-development Dance Moms parody musical has dropped and is now available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music. The new song, titled "Dance Mom," puts the spotlight on Chloe's mom Christi as she faces a difficult choice. The track features Gabriella Joy Rodriguez as Christi.

The song is from The Pyramid: A Dance Moms Parody Musical, inspired by Lifetime's outrageous 2011 reality series—about the dance teacher from hell, Abby Lee Miller, her young students (including Maddie Ziegler, whose fame  skyrocketed since being introduced to the world on the series), and, of course, their titular moms.

Featuring music and lyrics by James Stryska and Isabel Grace and a book by Erica Molfetto and Molly Russo, the project launched with the track "My Little Kendall," satirizing dance mom Jill Vertes in 2023, and followed that up with "Welcome to the Candy Apples," focused on Miller's arch nemesis dance company; and "The Pyramid," an entrance song for the biggest baddie of them all, everyone's favorite ruthless dance teacher (and convicted felon), Miller.

The songs immediately took off on TikTok and music streaming services, even getting the attention of the real Dance Moms cast—Jill, Christi, Abby, and others have all commented on the musical's social media posts.

The project has set its sites on a full stage production, though no plans have yet emerged. "We have big dreams for this project," Grace told Playbill last year. "We're still working out the details, but we want it to go as far as it can. Because fans are streaming, that's what gives us momentum."
