Written by French playwright Marc Camoletti and adapted into English by Beverley Cross, the play was the winner of the 2008 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play.
The cast will also feature Adam Monley as Bernard, Kathel Carlson as Bertha (Bernard’s housekeeper), Jennifer Cody as Gabriella (the Italian fiancée), Heather Parcells as Gloria (the American fiancée) and John Scherer as Robert (Bernard’s childhood friend).
Director James Brennan will be part of a creative team that also includes scenic designer Kay Klausen, assistant scenic designer Randall Parsons, costume designer Gail Baldoni, lighting designer Paul Miller, sound designer Craig Beyrooti, props designer Richard Mason and stage manager Mark Johnson.
The comedy, according to press notes, "revolves around Bernard, a successful American architect living in a posh Paris apartment, who has been deftly juggling three fiancées, each beautiful airline hostesses with frequent layovers in Paris. With a bit of assistance from his reluctant housekeeper, Bernard’s carefully constructed timetable runs like clockwork until a combination of the faster Boeing 707 jet and bad weather bring all three to his apartment on the same night. When his childhood friend arrives for a visit, he tries to help Bernard through the comic chaos."
