Jersey Boys has announced a show-themed alcoholic beverage—but it's not sherry! New Jersey Beer Company will launch a new IPA in celebration of the show's Off-Broadway return beginning April 7 at their brewery in North Bergen, New Jersey along with locations around New Jersey and New York—including Jersey Boys' Off-Broadway home, New World Stages.
Containing a special yeast blend, the company writes that the 6.8% IPA was "hopped with Citra, Mandarina Bavaria, and Sabro" and contains flavor notes of orange sherbet, mango, and coconut.
"The opportunity to partner with the artistic legends at Jersey Boys was something we couldn't pass up. We have been fans of the show for years, and love how the actors and producers work hard to hone their craft," said New Jersey Beer Company's Paul Harlan. "We as brewers constantly strive to dial in our work the same way, and we think you will taste it in this IPA."
The musical shared to Twitter, "The best is made in Jersey, whether it’s bands or beer! We’re excited to team up with our friends at New Jersey Beer Company this spring to celebrate." The tweet included a picture of the IPA, showing off its decorative label featuring the show's leading men.
