Royal Court Theatre and LIFT (London International Festival of Theatre) has unveiled the roster of artists that will perform Nassim Soleimanpour's ECHO (Every Cold-Hearted Oxygen). The play will feature a new performer each night, performing the script as the artist reads it for the first time. Performances run July 13-27 at London's Herwood Theatre Downstairs. Opening night is July 17.

Kathryn Hunter (July 27, evening), Toby Jones (July 27, matinee), Fiona Shaw (July 13), Meera Syal (July 22), and Rebecca Lucy Taylor (aka Self Esteem, July 19) were already announced to participate. Newly joining them are Sheila Atim (July 16), Monica Dolan (July 20, matinee), Jessica Gunning (July 25), Jeremy O. Harris (July 18), Adrian Lester (July 17), Nick Mohammed (July 26), Mawaan Rizwan (July 24), Jodie Whittaker (July 23), and Benedict Wong (July 15). One final guest is to be announced.

The performance will also feature Soleimanpour connected live from Berlin—maybe. "Can we really know where or when we are?," press notes tease.

ECHO follows plays with similar performance schemes from Soleimanpour, including White Rabbit, Red Rabbit and Nassim, both of which played Off-Broadway runs and were also performed as unrehearsed cold reads.

Omar Elerian is directing. The London run is being co-produced by LIFT/Royal Court Theatre, Staatstheater Mainz, Riksteatern, Why Not Theatre, Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles/Le Lieu Unique, Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg, and Canberra Theatre Centre/Malthouse Theatre. The production is presented in association with NYC's The Shed, which could indicate an upcoming Off-Broadway run.
