The revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber and T.S. Eliot's smash is being produced by Pittsburgh CLO for the first time. Richard Stafford directs and choreographs.
The cast will also include Jacob Brent as Mr. Mistoffelees; Kevin Loreque as Rum Tum Tugger; Michael Brian Dunn as Gus/Growl Tiger; Ian Knauer as Munkustrapp; and Danette Holden as Bombalurina.
Hoty has received three Tony Award nominations for her starring roles in Footloose, The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public and The Will Rogers Follies. Hoty has also appeared on Broadway in Mamma Mia!, City of Angels, Me and My Girl and Big River. She last appeared at Pittsburgh CLO as Desiree in A Little Night Music.
Prymus is appearing in the role of Old Deuteronomy, the same role that he held for seven years in the Broadway production of Cats. He has been featured in both the Broadway and national tour productions of The Wiz and Ain't Misbehavin'. Prymus' other national tour experiences include Duke Ellington's Queenie Pie and Cinderella, and he holds numerous film and television credits. Prymus' voice is most recognizable from the theme song "Suicide is Painless" in the 1970 movie "M*A*S*H."
