Maia Novi's Invasive Species officially opened its Off-Broadway encore run at The Vineyard's Dimson Theater May 15, and the production has announced it is now offering Wasabi Tix—two new affordable ticketing initiatives.
For the remainder of its engagement, Invasive Species will offer $10 tickets for 10 PM performances on Fridays, as well as $20 tickets available at the box office one hour before curtain for every performance.

“After the overwhelming outpouring of excitement for Maia’s Invasive Species that we saw both in our audience and across social media among especially young audiences—an audience we are often told don’t want to come to the theatre—it became imperative that we made sure that our audience had as few barriers of entry to see this show as possible,” executive producer Jeremy O. Harris said in a statement. “Moreover, to celebrate the team of artists who made this play happen from donations at La Mama all the way to The Vineyard, we knew initiatives like these were necessary to make sure the community that has supported this play from the beginning could also continue supporting it as the work begins to meet a wider audience.”
Pulitzer Prize finalist Michael Breslin (Circle Jerk) is back directing after staging the work's 2023 world premiere at The Tank. The piece was written as a response to debates around mental health policies on campus at Yale, following the mental journey of a Latine acting student navigating the American entertainment industry as an immigrant artist.
The full 2023 cast is reprising its performances, including Novi, Raffaella Donatich, Sam Gonzalez, Alexandra Maurice, and Julian Sanchez. Rounding out the company for the encore run are Paloma Aisenberg and Tyler Cruz.
The production features costume design by Cole McCarty, lighting design by Yichen Zhou, movement direction by Beth Gill, and sound design and original music by Jessie Char and Maxwell Neely-Cohen. Amauta M. Firmino serves as dramaturg and producer, with Shannon Molly Flynn as production manager and line producer, Molle Shea as production stage manager, Eva Shannon-Dabek as stage manager, and Brandon Brooks as general manager.
Folk Productions, Danielle Perelman, and Arterial Projects are producing, with Jeremy O. Harris serving as executive producer. Co-producers include Vaughn Feighan and Chase Landow, Tira Harpaz, Brandon Sanchez, and Rachel Weiss, with David Thomas Tao and Benjamin Nelson as associate producers, and Sophia Englesberg as assistant producer.
