The Lin-Manuel Miranda musical will play Manila's Theatre at Solaire.

Tony-winning Best Musical Hamilton will make its Asian premiere in the Philippines in 2023, with a run at The Theatre at Solaire in Manila beginning in September, with specific dates to be announced.

The engagement is part of a new international tour for the musical, with the Manila run following dates in Auckland, New Zealand. Additional cities and casting will be announced soon.

Lin-Manuel MirandaHamilton's writer and original star, announced the news on Instagram.

Hamilton is directed by Thomas Kail and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler. The production features scenic design by David Korins, costumes by Paul Tazewell, lighting by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe, casting by The Telsey Office's Bethany Knox, and general management by Baseline Theatrical. The show is produced by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman, and The Public Theater.

The Tony-, Pulitzer-, and Olivier Award-winning musical was filmed live and released via Disney+. The 2020 movie featured the entirety of the principal original cast, including Miranda in the title role. The film received two People's Choice Awards and a Critics' Choice Television Awards, and was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards and 12 Primetime Emmy Awards.
