Go inside the opening night of A Simulacrum, the newest play from Tony nominee Lucas Hnath, which officially opened Off-Broadway at Atlantic Theater Company's Stage 2 June 14 after beginning performances May 25. The production will continue through June 25. See what critics thought of the play here.

A meta-play, A Simulacrum explores what happened when illusionist Steve Cuiffo showed Hnath a series of magic tricks while the pair were collaborating on Dana H (the play about Hnath's mother, which played on Broadway in fall 2021). The piece stars Cuiffo, and features direction by Hnath.

A Simulacrum features scenic design by Louisa Thompson, costume design by Qween Jean, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, and sound design by Mikhail Fiksel.
