Broadway stars Glenn Close, Michael Cerveris, and Charlotte d'Amboise will perform alongside children from across New York City October 16 for an event titled Songs I’ve Sung on Broadway… and One I Wish I Had, as a fundraiser for the National Dance Institute.
The NDI was founded by d’Amboise’s father, Jacques d'Amboise, who will host this “intimate evening filled with Broadway song and dance.” All proceeds will support NDI’s award-winning arts education programming.
Close has won three Tony Awards, for her performances in Sunset Boulevard, The Real Thing, and Death and the Maiden. Cerveris won the Tony twice, for Fun Home and Assassins. D’Amboise was nominated twice for Tonys, in A Chorus Line and Jerome Robbins’ Broadway.
Taking place at the National Dance Institute Center for Learning & the Arts at 217 West 147th Street in Manhattan, the event will begin at 6:30 PM with a cocktail reception. The hour-long performance begins at 7:15 PM, and will be followed by dinner.
Tickets cost $1,000 to $25,000, and can be ordered here.
