Five-time Tony winner George C. Wolfe peels back the curtain on his legendary 45 year–long career at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts October 24. A Conversation With George C. Wolfe, free to the public, will include a discussion with the director-playwright in addition to recordings from the plays and musicals he has worked on.

Wolfe's prolific career has included tenures as the artistic director and producer of The Public Theater and the New York Shakespeare Festival, and as the chief creative officer of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. Wolfe's stage work has included The Colored Museum, Spunk, Paradise, Jelly's Last Jam, Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992, Angels in America, Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk, On The Town, The Wild Party, Elaine Stritch At Liberty, Caroline or Change, The Normal Heart, Lucky Guy, Shuffle Along, Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed, The Iceman Cometh, and many more.
