Full casting has been announced for the world premiere production of Only Gold at Off-Broadway's MCC Theater. Performances for the new musical, with a score by British singer-songwriter Kate Nash and a book by Andy Blankenbuehler and Ted Malawer, will begin October 5 in the Newman Mills Theater at The Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space for a run through November 27. Opening night is set for November 7.
Only Gold, directed and choreographed by Blankenbuehler, centers on a royal family's trip to Paris and the effect their arrival has on the townspeople.
Nash will star in the production, alongside Tony nominees Terrence Mann (Pippin) and Karine Plantadit (Come Fly Away), So You Think You Can Dance winner Gaby Diaz (West Side Story film), Hannah Cruz (Suffs), Ryan Steele (Carousel), and Ryan VanDenBoom (MJ).
The cast also includes Haley Fish (Kiss Me, Kate), Jennifer Florentino (West Side Story), Jacob Guzman (Newsies), Tyler Hanes (A Chorus Line), Thayne Jasperson (Hamilton), Reed Luplau (Moulin Rouge! the Musical), Morgan Marcell (Hamilton), Ximone Rose (Once on This Island), Ida Saki (Cats), Ahmad Simmons (Hadestown), DeAnne Stewart (Jagged Little Pill), Voltaire Wade-Greene (Hamilton), and Katie Webber (TINA: The Tina Turner Musical). Swings and understudies will include Jacob Burns (Hamilton), Phil Colgan (Hamilton), Bradley Dean (A Little Night Music), Victoria Fiore (Fly), Samantha Pollino (Hamilton), and recording artist Eleri Ward.
The production will feature a set design by Tony nominee David Korins, costume design by Anita Yavich, lighting design by Tony winner Jeff Croiter, sound design by Tony winner Nevin Steinberg, hair and wig design by Tom Watson, and prop supervision by Samantha Shoffner. Arrangements and orchestrations are by Cian McCarthy, vocal arrangements by Tony winner Tom Kitt, additional arrangements and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, music supervision by Meg Zervoulis, music direction by Cynthia Meng, and music coordination by Michael Aarons. Pat Sosnow will serve as production stage manager and Matthew Henao is the assistant stage manager. Casting is by Rachel Hoffman and Lindsay Levine of The Telsey Office.
