Playbill and Times Square Alliance's Pride in Times Square is back for another weekend of free events in the heart of NYC's theatre district. The event will be centered around NYC Pride weekend, set for June 23–24. The weekend will culminate as the Playbill Pride Float returns to the NYC Pride March June 25, supporting partner Heritage of Pride.
Attendees will be able to visit the Pride Main Stage, where dynamic voices in the community will support the continued fight for equity, diversity, and inclusion for all. Special guests, concerts, surprise performances, and more are planned for both June 23 and June 24, with a schedule of events to be revealed June 1.
The weekend will also feature the return of The Big Broadway Disco, a large-scale street party inviting everyone to boogie down in Times Square to classic and contemporary Broadway songs and performances with a disco flare. Set for June 24 beginning at 5 PM, the event will include a first look at the Playbill Pride Float.
Looking for an old-fashioned sing-along? You can hit the Pride Piano Bar, where audiences will be able to take pictures with the one-of-a-kind Playbill piano and then stick around for sing-along performance and piano concerts throughout the weekend, led by Broadway musicians and favorites.
Attendees will also be able to connect with Pride in Times Squares' sponsors, which include American Express, ViiV Healthcare, and Audible Theater, with additional support from the NYC Mayor’s Office of Equity and NYC Unity Project. Interactive double decker buses will be onsite with experiences to explore.
Throughout the weekend, local businesses will be offering discounts, deals, giveaways, and special menu items to help celebrate Pride Month. Visit TSQ.org/PrideDeals to find details for all promotions. The Alliance has also arranged displays of Pride flags and rainbows on screens and billboards throughout Times Square for a special #SignsofPride campaign.
