Rachel Bloom brings her sold-out solo show back for an encore engagement beginning December 7, this time at the Orpheum Theatre. The strictly limited four-week run will be dark December 11, 25, 2023, and January 1, 2024.

The Crazy Ex-Girlfriend writer and star played an earlier run of the show at the Lucille Lortel in September. The work has also seen sold-out runs in London, Chicago, Boston, and more. Read reviews for the first Off-Broadway bow here.

According to press notes, the one woman musical comedy is "NOT about the ever-present spectre of death ... [and] will in NO way explore the pandemic and all the tumultuous events that ensued in her personal life." Obviously, those notes were written with a sense of irony. According to Playbill's interview with Bloom, the show is about death and the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic shutdown. “I hope they think about the role death plays in their own lives,” Bloom says of what she hopes audiences take away from the show. “I hope that it makes them realize we shouldn't push down what happened in 2020. We shouldn’t forget.”

Directed by Seth Barrish (The Old Man & The Pool), the production features scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, lighting design by Aaron Copp, projection design by Hana S. Kim, music direction by Jerome Kurtenbach, and costume design by Kristin Isola. Mike Lavoie and Carlee Briglia are producing.
