Broadway alum and 2012 Tony Award nominee Da'Vine Joy Randolph won a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for her performance in The Holdovers March 10. Also nabbing a win was fellow Broadway alum Emma Stone, who won her second career Oscar in the Best Leading Actress category for her work on Poor Things.
Randolph previously made her Broadway debut as Oda Mae Brown in the 2012 musical version of Ghost The Musical, earning a Tony Award nomination for her work. She was nominated for the Oscar alongside fellow Broadway vet Danielle Brooks, for her performance in The Color Purple.
Stone made her Broadway debut in 2014 as Sally Bowles in Cabaret, and was nominated alongside fellow stage favorites Annette Benning and Carey Mulligan.
Other stage stars nominated for 2024 Oscars include Bradley Cooper for his performance as Leonard Bernstein in Maestro, Colman Domingo for Rustin, Paul Giamatti for The Holdovers, Jeffrey Wright for American Fiction, Sterling K. Brown for American Fiction, and Mark Ruffalo for Poor Things.
Cooper and Mulligan's acting nods are two of many nominations the Bernstein biopic was up for at tonight's ceremony, along with Best Picture, Screenplay, Cinematography, Makeup and Hairstyling, and Sound.

The 96th Annual Academy Awards are being held in Los Angeles, and are being broadcast on ABC (check local listings).
