Broadway favorite and Emmy winner Darren Criss will lend his voice to a new season of DreamWorks Animation's children's series Gabby's Dollhouse, Deadline reports. The show's 10th season will premiere on Netflix August 5.
The series follows protagonist Gabby and her world of cat characters who live inside of a dollhouse. Criss will voice the role of Marty the Party Cat, a feline friend with powers that can magically change the look of Gabby's Party Room.
It's been a busy year for Criss, who stepped into the role of Seymour in Off-Broadway's long-running Little Shop of Horrors revival from January to March. As previously reported, the actor is set to star opposite Helen J Shen in Will Aronson and Hue Park's new Broadway musical Maybe Happy Ending, with performances beginning in September.
Criss made his Broadway debut back in 2011 as J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. He has since returned to the stage in Hedwig and the Angry Inch and American Buffalo. Criss is also celebrated for his TV work, notably as Blaine Anderson in Glee and Andrew Cunanan in FX's The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.
