Mark Waldrop (Bea Arthur on Broadway) will direct Til Divorce Do Us Part — presented by Rosemary Kalikow, Leslie Simpson, 3 Cats Productions and Dean A.Carpenter — which features a concept, lyrics and choreography by Ruthe Ponturo and music by John Thomas Fischer.
The cast includes Fischer, Martin Landry, Erin Maguire, Dana Wilson and Gretchen Wylder.
Til Divorce Do Us Part: The Musical, according to press notes, "is inspired by the true story of Ms. Ponturo, a Broadway producer's wife who was unceremoniously dumped by her husband after decades of marriage. Determined to celebrate a new chapter in her life, Ponturo's character turns to her wickedly witty friends, who together sing, dance and laugh their way through the ripple effects of divorce and self-discovery in this musical comedy revue."
Other members of the creative team include set designer Mitchell Greenberg, lighting designer Julie Duro and sound designer Nevin Steinberg. Costumes are by Tony Award winner Paloma Young and Ashley Rose Horton.
An earlier incarnation of Til Divorce Do Us Part: The Musical played eight sold-out showcase performances at the Triad in 2013.
