An invite-only reading of Mary Lynn Dobson's new comedy, Dracula, Let Me Count The Ways was held September 15, and it featured a spooktacular cast.
Directed by Mark Brokaw (How I Learned to Drive, Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella), the Manhattan Theatre Club reading starred Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: SVU and Organized Crime) as Dracula and Morena Baccarin (Deadpool) as Lucy.
Also in the cast were Steven Boyer (Kimberly Akimbo) as Renfield, Andy Grotelueschen (Tootsie) as Van Helsing, David Furr (Burn This) as Harker, John Ellison Conlee (The Full Monty) as Dr. Seward, Ann Harada (Into the Woods) as Nurse, Luke Antony Neville (Titanique) as Beetleson, and Robert Emmet Lunney (The Graduate) as Graves.
For the reading, Mairin Lee read stage directions. The stage manager was Devin Day, with production assistants Cyrille Blackburn and Sam Benson, and the assistant director was Aliyah Curry. RCI Theatricals served as general manager, with casting by Kelly Gillespie. The reading was produced by BlackIrish Productions and James FitzSimmons.
